About This Attraction

The Peacock Valley is located by Fangma Bridge, Nantianmen, Mangshi in Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The first area consists of two outstanding features and five main sections; the first feature is the peacock. Peacocks are the symbol of Dehong, and the area’s many peacock-themed elements have been submitted to the Guinness World Records for consideration. The second feature is eco-tourism in the virgin forest. The area is rich with a wide variety of different types of vegetation, and the different varieties of tree include peacock trees, welcoming trees, wishing trees, longevity trees and more. There are picturesque ancient trees everywhere and some are so large that it would take five or six people to reach around them. The forest boasts abundant fresh air, leading to it being known locally as the natural oxygen bar.
