Judging from the formation age of the strata, Xianfo Cave belongs to the limestone of the Mengga Formation of the Middle Jurassic System of the Mesozoic Era, which has a history of more than 140 million years. The cave is 2.8 kilometers long and has a vertical height difference of more than 200 meters. Its peculiarity lies in that it almost encompasses all the geological landscapes of karst landforms.
