Huize Ancient City

About This Attraction

Huize has a long history and is one of the four counties established in Yunnan earlier in history. In ancient times, it was famous for its rich production of copper and lead. During the Qing Dynasty, copper mining and smelting were further developed, and it became a famous coinage place in southwest China. At the same time, the cultural characteristics of the guild halls in Huize have also been formed. The surviving guild halls are still very eye-catching in terms of the concentration of the number and the unique shape. The well-preserved ones are Jiangxi Temple, Dafo Temple, Xilai Temple, Confucian Temple, Wenchang Palace and so on.
