About This Attraction

Lin'an Prefecture Office is located in the core area of ​​the ancient city of Jianshui, Yunnan, adjacent to the Jianshui Confucian Temple. It is a "prefecture"-level official building in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was built in the 15th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1382) and has been expanded and renovated 8 times in the Ming and Qing dynasties. It has a history of more than 630 years. Lin'an Prefecture Office was not only the political, economic and cultural center of southern Yunnan during the Ming and Qing dynasties, but also a witness to the construction of officialdom in ancient China.
