In the afternoon, follow the wooden boardwalk deep into the shaded forest to discover a miniature ecosystem of ferns and orchids hidden beneath natural arches formed by aerial roots. During the rainy season, staghorn ferns clinging to branches unfurl new leaves, resembling a flock of suspended green butterflies. Locals set up bamboo tables in forest clearings, offering energy-boosting treats like water-splashing rice cakes wrapped in banana leaves and spicy pickled papaya for explorers to enjoy. As the setting sun gilds the aerial roots, the entire banyan grove transforms into a maze of light and shadow. Flocks of birds returning to their nests skim the treetops, startling a few banyan leaves that drift down onto the small altars dedicated to tree spirits among the woods—here you'll find no grand landscaping projects, yet every hanging aerial root writes primitive verses of rainforest life.

Tacheng Yunnan Snub-nosed Monkey National Park is located in Tacheng, the "Hometown of Reba Art" in Shangri-Laxi, about 62 kilometers away from Weixi County. The Yunnan snub-nosed monkey is a rare animal unique to Yunnan Province. It lives in the deep mountains at an altitude of about 3800-4200 meters. In order to develop tourism, the scenic spot uses artificial feeding to attract monkeys down the mountain. The monkey viewing area in the park is located in the middle of the mountain at an altitude of about 3,000 meters. At the entrance of the park, you can take the scenic environmental protection sightseeing car to the monkey viewing area. Every morning 9:00-9:30 is the time for the rangers to feed, and it is also a good time to watch the monkeys. There is a simple gravel road on this side that runs through the entire gorge, and there is also a walking path above the road. Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge is the narrowest section of the gorge, 9 kilometers away from the Tiger Leaping Gorge town on the roadside. In the middle of the river, a huge rock stands majestically, lying in the middle of the stream, like a waterfall standing in front of you, dividing the rapids into two, and the waves are shaking the sky. Legend has it that a tiger once used this huge rock in the middle of the river to jump from the side of Yulong Snow Mountain to Haba Snow Mountain, so this stone was named Tiger Leaping Stone.
